I enjoy living in Lyons because it is a safe and progressing town. The police officers can be seen patrolling the streets. Their presence helps to keep crime away, and if you call them, they will come. The town officials are very friendly and involved in the town. The mayor can be seen at the town events serving the food. It is so nice to see that he is a humble man who cares about the well being of the residents. The Village of Lyons Parks and Recreation Department has a lot of activities for seniors and kids. The Lyons Public Library offers material for education and activities for kids all year round. The employees there are friendly and kind. I can see what is being accomplished with my tax money through projects such as street renovations and new businesses that are being started.

Lyons is like no other neighborhood, not too much noise, nor too quiet. Every store or restaurant is less than a mile away with easy access. There are multiple playgrounds for the kids to enjoy and get some air. The people in the neighborhood are welcoming which make it a safe place to live. During the holidays the town has multiple events for the kids at the local parks.
Lyons never tends to throw block parties which should be changed because those events are what bring a community together.
Overall, Lyons is a comforting and an enjoyable neighborhood to live in because of the many events hosted and the neighbors that become close friends.
I recently moved here 2 years ago, I enjoy it so far. A lot of friendly people live here. My only problem sometimes is that some neighbors play loud music outside at midnight not taking accountability that people work during the day and need sleep. Other than that the neighborhood is really nice and quiet during the winter. It has really nice parks and recreational areas close by which is very warming.
