Working in Lyndon
I moved to Louisville for job four years ago. I used to live in the south Hurstbourne, the Old Louisville and downtown area. Lyndon is the best area I would like to live! You have two choices drive to downtown, I-64 and shelbyville road. There are AB saywer Park, the YMCA, the Oxmoor and lots of restaurants located in shelbyville road. You can shop in every market in 15 min drive including Trader Joe’s, Costco, Kroger, Walmart, Lowe’s and Homedepot
I grew up here it's a great place to live, it's close to everything, the mall, bars, the highway etc so its easy to get anywhere in Louisville from here in about 25 minutes. A lot of neighborhood food spots that not a lot of people that live outside of Lyndon know about. Overall a great neighborhood one of the best in Louisville.
I have lived in Lyndon for 22 years and couldn't ask for more. It is a very homey and welcoming environment. I am raising my 2 year old daughter here and feel very comfortable and safe in my surroundings. We have two parks in walking distance and that is a huge plus! My biggest complaint with the area is the school system. Jefferson county public school system is something I have never been impressed with but the quality of the schools in our district is very underwhelming. I hope to see a change in this over the next five years or so.
