If you have to live in or around Lynchburg, and want to live in a home where you have neighbors close to you, Glenavy Hills is the place to go. The homes are nice, all with decent amounts of yard space. The roads are well kept (although beware people speed like crazy, and pets and children are very potential to get hit if not we'll supervised). Neighbors are usually friendly, but many can be quite nosy. There is a bus that comes through the supdivision to pick up childrem for school. Ice cream truck usually makes occassional appearances, as well. There's a lot of dogs in the neighborhood, so expect constant barking. Plenty of road space to go on walks, jogs, bike rides, etc. People are always moving in and out of the neighborhood, so expect to see new faces. Overall, living in Glenavy Hills was quite pleasant and enjoyable! I'd surely live there again (but I prefer my new home out in the country).

It's a small town for sure a blink of an eye and your through it one stop light. The school is very good education small town so you know a lot of people. And at the same time it's peaceful though you don't have nobody bothering you. I wish there was more lights at night time, on the roads pool lights. I could use a couple more restaurants, instead up to bar for the small town. other then that I love living here with my two small kids. We live near a Park which is great too for the kids.
Small town but has the most friendly environment you can ask for. The school for the students is great. It provides everything you need to further your education.
