Lusby is a very small town. It has a few beautiful beaches along with some nature trails attached to it. There are also plenty of restaurants in Lusby down to Solomons island at the pier. Everybody knows each other very well and always very friendly. Our community is giving towards each other. Whether it be for helping pay for groceries once in a while to buying those delicious girl scout cookies. The town is very safe. Police are always on the watch and driving around the town. There is rarely any if none safety issues in the town. The only thing i would have to say is an issue, is that the commute to any really good restaurants or entertainment is at least 30 minutes drive even 1 hour mostly.

I absolutely love the tranquilty and friendliness this town provide in the neighborhood. The schools are parent friendly and keep parents informed of events, attendance, academics and more. If you like countryside atmosphere and beach living, you will love Lusby.
It's not that Lusby is a bad town, but it's not that great either. There is a lot of problems in the Ranch Estates, the housing community I live in, just last night (11/18/2017) someone was shot on the playground by our man-made lake.
The school I attend is better than some in other counties, but it isn't a great school.
It's the kind of town where you have to know people in order to get a job, which makes it very difficult to get hired places. It’s a small town, which means everybody know some of everyone else’s business. Because it’s a small town no matter how close your phone’s GPS tells you something in a different county is, count on it being two hours.
There are plus side to this town though. It is close nit, and people are very supportive, if you know them. For the most part people are friendly, a lot of waving to people you see when you drive around town, a lot of conversation is made when you go to the grocery store
