I have lived in Luling, Louisiana my whole life. Not often are there ever incidents of criminal activity or safety issues for children. The neighborhoods have been growing larger and larger due to the attraction this area brings. It's peaceful, family-friendly, and surrounded by public schools renowned for their academics. Families with children looking for permanent residence often move here. It's safe. There's a church where you'll meet neighbors and even people across the parish. There's a park with a bike trail that connects to another neighborhood. There are ballparks where kids play local t-ball. Numerous restaurants and marketplaces are also bunched together where you will also see neighbors and other near by residents often.
Luling is very safe, with excellent public schools, a newly renovated public library and an over all family friendly environment. It is a decent drive from the city, but it is not terrible and there is little traffic here! I was born and raised here and after moving all over and coming back, as a mother of two I appreciate living here more than ever.
