I have lived in baldwin county for twenty-six years now and the majority of that time has been in Loxley. It has a wonderful civic center with opportunity for seniors to meet and remain active in the community. What I would like to see is business growth geared toward a younger generation. After all, it's the young ones that will eventually be running the place. More upkeep of the buildings tourists pass of highway 59 to better represent this town.

Nice, quiet area. A lot of nice subdivisions. Not much to do but has a lot of nice areas, a pretty park, well kept public areas, plenty of access to other cities. Hardly any crime happens here, it's a small town.. and has the small town vibe to go with it. I love living here!
Loxley, Alabama is a quintessential small town in the South. There's a Strawberry Festival each year, a civic center located in the middle of a nice park, and a locally famous fruit and vegetable market. It's a safe and happy place to race a family. There are few jobs in this area, most people drive to the neighboring city/county to work. The drive is offset by the nice area and people who remember your name.
