it is a great town of people and is a great place to live. There are plenty of activity's to do with your family with Disney and Universal being so close.
Longwood is a town that is very involved, the schools are also some of the best in Seminole county. There were a lot of holiday events when covid was not around such as the holiday parade.
Lived and worked in the area for 13 years and raised my child until 5yrs old before relocating. Excellent job opportunities, places of worship, restaurants and site seeing.
It’s a really calm city compared to Orlando. There are always stores that are near and everything you need is within a 5 mile radius. It’s really fun and it also has a lot of good schools. There’s a lot of parks and springs around which is also very entertaining.
Longwood is a very safe and happy place to live. The proximity to interstate and major roads is terrific without being in the city area. We have plenty of green space and do not feel like we are in a city however we are close enough to all major areas of Central Florida. Seminole County is a great place to live.
We moved to Longwood about 5 years ago now. I knew a lot about it meaning my family was moving from the town over called Altamonte Springs. We knew it was a better place finishing to raise our daughter and my step-daughter, Who is now 20 and 23. They like this area a lot as well, Made wonderful friends, and we loved the schools. It is also not as fast pace as Altamonte is and and that really played a role on out move.
I would like for the community to "keep up with the times" and attract the younger demographic. I also feel that the public school system could be better and set students up for success. In general, the school systems should have courses that help kids determine what they want to do employment wise so we dont end up with undecided majors and they truly know who they are and what they want to be.
Longwood is an easily accessible community located just 20 minutes from Orlando offering a casual lifestyle for families and homeowners. The subdivisions are quaint and ideal for people from all walks of life. There is an abundance of chain stores, but not too overwhelming so as to make it impossible for smaller business owners to succeed.
I have loved living here for the past 6 years and have found the community to be very welcoming and friendly to my family. I think it is a great place to live with good schools and neighborhoods.
I don't live in Longwood, but I travel through Longwood multiple times a week. It is suburb of Orlando The schools have a reputation of being above average. Areas seem to be clean, well kept and neighborhoods are family friendly.
It feels like home. Safety isn't something that I question much here. Longwood is a family oriented city.
I have loved living here for the past 6 years and think it is a great place to live. I think the schools are great and have provided me a great education. I am also impressed by the number of amenities that can be found around the area and I would recommend Longwood to anyone.
Longwood is a small town feel with big city amenities nearby. There's access to public transportation, nearby shopping, and within 45 minutes of most of the areas attractions.
The Longwood area is a very clean, well-maintained area full of bustling neighborhoods and local shops. However, there is heavy traffic on many of the roads and because it holds a school, driving in this area can get very hectic and dangerous. Maybe expanding to a multiple lane road instead of just a one lane road would solve this problem.
I love living here. It's in close proximity to everything I need--whether I want to go to the beach, downtown for nightlife, or theme parks. I feel safe living in this community.
Nice place to live with young children , excellent schools and Wekiva park is awesome, 4 Publix are in the same street, a lot of different restaurants, so you can try a different place every week
I have lived in Longwood my entire life. Throughout the years I have picked up on many pros and cons. One of the main positives is the overall energy. Longwood is filled with so many nice, lovable people who will go out of their way to help out. After many of the hurricanes have come through, the community of Longwood unifies together to rebuild the beautiful city we live in. The safety of he city is also a good trait we withhold. Besides the atmosphere built by the people, we also have so many activities in and outdoors you can take on. From the fresh springs to only living half an hour from Disney World, there is much for all ages to do. Despite all of this, there is also some negatives. Two of our main roads in which run through the city: 434 and 436, seems to get filled with traffic everyday. From about 5 pm- 7 pm being on one of these roads is none the less... DREADFUL. The information i have displayed is completely genuine and i plan to remain in Longwood in my future.
