Lombard is a fantastic place to live. The parks are beautiful, and Lilac Days show off the pride of those who live here. Lombard has great schools, churches, restaurants and a mall to suit everyone. The local Dairy Queen is a local favorite, and who else could boast a lilac-dipped cone?! What I like most is the folks I've met here. Lombard has many neighborhoods, but the whole town is a friendly community. From fireworks to Germanfest, and the famous lilac parade. I'm thrilled to be a Lombardian.

Lombard has been my home for twenty two years. Overall, I think the village of Lombard does a good job getting involved with the community. It is nice to see the community come together whether it's at the Saturday night car show, going to Madison Meadows to view the fireworks show or even heading over to Madison Meadows to watch the Falcons. There is only one thing I would like to see changed in Lombard and that is to bring back the Taste of Lombard. It was nice to see friends and neighbors at the taste to listen to some music and to get some good food; hopefully it comes back in the next couple of years!
It’s a town in which everyone knows each other, and can come together in tough situations to support each other. Recently there was a tragedy related to some students at my local school, and the town came together by tying red ribbons around all the trees in Lombard and raising thousands and thousands of dollars for the victims. The amount of love and kindness shown through this act makes me think differently about this town that I once thought was just another ordinary town, into a place full of love that I’m happy to be a part of
