Lodi is a small town with an amazing community. I have never felt unwelcome anywhere I went. The school system was really good as compared to other districts in terms of both academics and clubs(sports, music, art, etc) and there are a lot of good areas for families. A lot of good restaurants, parks, and shops as well. I really enjoy living in this town and have a lot of good experiences from it.
Lodi is a very small town, with a homey feel. Although this may be the case for the adults that live here, the high school is more of a prison than a learning center. We are micromanaged like we are in 4th grade. Creative freedom is close to nothing. As a student I want to grow and flourish, here I felt like I was confined in a box of who they wanted me to be.
I love this town and most of all it has to offer. Its small size makes it not only ideal for the community but ideal for a daily commute. Even though the town is small, the public schools don't feel like it. The Lodi School District is more than friendly and qualified for all of your academic needs. Although it doesn't have much for nightlife and big businesses, that's part of the small-town American charm. I would recommend Lodi to anyone who likes a small town with a community that cares about each other.
