I have lived in Little Canada all my life and it is a great place to grow up. It is very family-friendly with many parks and playgrounds. It is within easy driving distance (~20 minutes) from both downtown St. Paul and Minneapolis. I do wish there were more sidewalks on the busier streets.

Little Canada is a nice small surburb in between both St Paul and Minneapolis downtowns. Every year we celebrate Le Canadian Days...it is a great time for the community to get together and have a fun time! We currently in the process of finishing our Veterans Park Memorial which includes a War Dog Memorial. My family love being a part of this community.
Overall, this is a suburban area so it is great for families with children. The local elementary school is a block away and the middle school about 3 miles away. In general, neighbors are friendly and it is a very reserved neighborhood with quiet nights. I would live here again if I decided to start my own family. In comparison to other places in the country, I would say this area is definitely safer and is more child-friendly in terms of safer streets (not too many cars drive by) and each house around mine has their own yard. I see this neighborhood staying fairly consistent with little to minimal changes in the future.
