SO it was great.... Still is decent but prices are crazy and the traffic only gets worse. The city is fine itself with taxes on the high side. The area is turning from being conservative to leaning much more liberal. The parks are well maintained and it is a quite family friendly area. The restaurants are decent but if you want better food you have to venture over to Naperville for that. Houses sell for the mid 300k's in most areas of the town so its middle of the pack in process for the area. There are multiple forest preserves in the area that are gorgeous. If you must travel to Chicago for work the BNSF Metra station is located in the heart of the city. Basically if you don't mind Illinois taxes and corruption, this is the best place for you because it is a good, clean, family friendly area.

Lisle is a very small town. You get to know all your neighbors. The schools are amazing and close together. Lisle high school is one of the top high schools in America. Once you go to a Lisle school, you always go to a Lisle school. There are many events that happen in Lisle. For example, Lisle Eyes to the Skies Festival, monthly car show, scarecrow scramble, and other events. We have an amazing sports program in the junior high and high school. Currently, in 2018, the Lisle High School Varsity Football team is state playoff bound!!!
I am a current resident of Lisle and believe that the Lisle community is excellent overall. I have an infant son so finding a safe neighborhood was top priority for my husband and I and I have to say it is very safe here. The living expenses are affordable, the commute to major highways are fast, and the pubic schools are very good. I have to say one negative factor is the nightlife is very limited in Lisle. The downtown area is small and not very lively even on the weekends. This has been a disappointment because I am a singer and there are not any open jam nights at nearby restaurants or bars.
