The area is at a very convenient location. It provides easy access to DC, Old Town, Tysons Corner, and the 395/495/95 highways. The neighborhood is very cultured and has a lot of ethnic shops and markets.

Food wise, one is able to find any type of food they desire. From food from south america, to food from morocco, one is only a couple miles away from fulfilling their appetite. You will find people from all over the world, are usually seen at a restaurant called Chicken Pollo, where they serve peruvian style chicken.

Most of the night clubs are available in DC, which is only 15 minutes away! The most common one, young people visit is called Ultra in DC. Aside from those night clubs, there are restaurants who offer karaoke nights and dancing nights during the weekends.
This area is very metropolitan and the police/other law enforcement are very good at responding to issues all around the area. You can always spot them out and about in the city doing various things. You always feel safe because they are very responsive and never too far away. I do not have any concerns other than the average concerns, but I have never felt afraid or been caught in a sticky situation before.
