The roads around here are close to awful. A nearby road was under repair for years. A bridge near my house has been under repair for months and will remain as such for the entire summer -- a huge inconvenience to everyone in the area. In addition, there is little to no street lighting on most of the back roads, which are dangerous enough to begin with. However, in terms of crime and safety, the most serious crime that was experienced close to me was a robbery.

Though I love this area, it is becoming too tourist-y and overpopulated. With so many new shopping centers and apartment complexes opening, it is becoming more like a city than the town appeal that brought my family here in the first place. However, the beautiful scenery and mountains are worth it all.
I love it here for the weather and the scenery and the things to do. However, my career aspirations will necessitate that I relocate to most likely the NYC area. Moved here in 2006 from south Jersey. Definitely nicer people here and a slower pace. This was good for me during my middle and high school years. I made some amazing friends here.
