It is a typical town in the Midwest, but it is a little larger than most. The school district is large and includes some students from Kansas City. The historic downtown area has been improved in the last few years with some new walkways, art pieces, and stores. Those improvements have made the downtown square a more popular spot. There is also a new Liberty Commons that the city has built in the last few years with many new businesses and restaurants and a brand new, nice movie theatre. The Liberty triangle area, in general, has seen many new restaurants and businesses in the last ten years. However, there are some things that are not in as good of condition such as the city parks. Most of them haven't had any updates in a long time. The bathrooms in the parks are beyond disgusting and essentially just a hole in the ground. There are no walking trails and many of the water fountains do not work anymore.

Liberty, Missouri is just the perfect place to raise your family. It's a suburban area where you are close to the country side to enjoy some quiet time, and not to far from the downtown Kansas City area. Downtown Kansas City is filled with amazing scenery, restaurants, people, music, and most importantly its famous barbecue. you could say it the best of three worlds! The town of Liberty is developing substantially from the new businesses being built throughout the area. Another great feature of this area are the sports fans. The whole Kansas City area unifies together when it comes to sports, especially the Kansas City Royals when they won the World Series in 2015 against the New York Mets. The whole city came together, around 800,000 Royals fans, when the normal population of the city is around 400,000 people! Overall, I see much more growth for this amazing area and another World Series win for the Royals!
We recently moved to Liberty because it always a place that held all sorts of entertainment, resources and food. It was the place to be and my family finally decided to move to Liberty and we love it! The environment is incredible and we do not regret our move at all. In fact, we wished we moved earlier! It's a lovely town and the people are very kind.
