Lexington has many social problems and really no support system for the people who experience these problem. No decent activities for young people and no career opportunities for young people. The town people are mostly transplants from the north and the county people are locals who do t mix with the town folks. Walmart is the only retailer. O socuila life for teens and twenty somethings. Maybe good for retirees or gays looking for a quaint blue blob type of town.

Lexington is a pretty good small town. It has many outdoor activities available such as numerous hiking trails and a river to swim in. Lexington is a historical town. Downtown Lexington has many unique small shops. The Drive Inn movie theater is a special experience that is popular here.
Nice dainty little town. Beautiful views beyond the town. Good places to eat and shop. A little on the expensive side. Two schools: Virginia Military Institute and Washington and Lee. VMI is really cool to see and visit, but not so fun to go to.
