Lexington, SC has a great school system and is growing rapidly! There are new neighborhoods popping up and much new business growth in the area. The only downfall to the area is the traffic in downtown Lexington. If you have been here a while you can navigate around the traffic. However, Town council is keeping this on the agenda to better. Come to Lexington for live, education of your children and a great economy!

Lexington County has some of the best! Schools your child can attend. As well as many job opportunities and openings all around the Lexington area. There is also May after school day-cares for parents that work late. I can pretty much walk anywhere in Lexington and not have a fear in the world because of top notch police officials, and patrols. Very safe and would recommend living here to anyone I can across that isn’t already!
When people are making a decision on where they want to live, there are three primary factors that they reference: (1) safety, (2) affordability, and (3) good schools. The reality is that there are increasingly fewer and fewer places that check all three of these boxes. Lexington, South Carolina is a real gem of a town that a lot of people do not fully appreciate. For anywhere between $100-150k you can buy a nice house in a safe neighborhood zoned for quality Lexington One schools. People do not understand how rare that is nowadays. You are generally no more than a 10-15 minute drive from the Lexington Dam where you can lounge on the makeshift beach and have a picnic. Many people in these reviews critique the lack of nightlife in Lexington, which is a valid critique, but you can always drive thirty minutes into Five Points or the Vista in Columbia for your nightlife needs. The lack of nightlife in Lexington means a lack of shady figures hanging around at midnight, so no complaints.
