Lexington TN is not a small. Walmart not in small towns. Rent is too much for type of places it has. And finding a good place you never will. Landlords most treat you like crap . Talk down to you. City main street don't fix where most go two. If you're single person your my stay single. For a while. City is poor getting info out to it people also. You must know people to get any help or info about city. If you single and poor best stay away. City fair nothing good. Over crowded and not much to do. City refuse to improve it. Crime is ranked d+ for city like this. That's only crime that city report not all. Now day's city almost unlivable. My feeling for it is neutral at best over last 4 years . Been in it for 24 years. I'm sure city look the same for next 20 or more years. Just more people in it. Quality of life will be same with city proud it's got no better. And costing more. People in city getting worse.
I have lived in Lexington my entire life. I have watched it bloom and grow into the beautiful town that it is. I am proud to see that our city is looking to expand places for families to spend time together outside and promoting wellness. I hope to see more of these kinds of additions as well as places for more outdoor activities such as skating, disk golf, an updated splash pad, walking trails, and play areas.
I'd like to see more community events that focus on the care for our native wildlife and natural areas. Lexington has wonderful care options for domesticated pets, but not many options for strays or common human-interacting wildlife like raccoons, opossums, and skunks.
