Lesage is situated in a rural area in WV. Although rural, it is still convenient to shopping and restaurants. We enjoy the quiet atmosphere that Lesage provides. We have 3 children who currently attend or have attended intermediate education in Lesage. We feel confident our children are receiving a good elementary education. Lesage gives our family the opportunity to enjoy a good life and education without all the hustle and bustle of suburban living.
Although Lesage has many good attributes it lacks in areas that hault growth; low income area, under 30,000 median income.

Lesage is a small community. You don't really get the town experience, however you are able to get very close with your neighbours. I have about 7 families living on my street and when the weather is nice, we will all get together to barbeque, let the kids play, and just socialize. It is a wonderful street to live on. However, most folks that are familiar with the area simply know it as where Hillbilly Hot Dogs is located. Beyond that, there isn't much here besides just passing on through.
I have only lived in Lesage, WV over the past 6 months. It takes about 10-12 minutes to get to the interstate, which is the farthest "out" I've ever lived outside of busy streets. The privacy is really nice though. I enjoy seeing the deer out on my lawn in the morning, although it does make me really sad to see just how many animals are hit driving on this road. Too many people speed anywhere from 10-15 mph over the 55 mph speed limit. And with there being nonexistent road lighting, it makes chances of hitting an animal all that more greater. But overall, it is a quaint place to live... especially if you love the quiet life.
