I like the small town feel, yet close to a bigger city for all the luxuries. Plenty of restaurants, theaters, bike paths as well as parks. Parkview Hospital is only 6 minutes away and provides excellent care. Non for Profit all for you is their motto.
It’s a small town with a nice school, a nice community, it has quick and easy places to shop at, and it’s very religious with a few churches nearby.
The small town of Leo Indiana looks like nothing special. If you were to drive in any direction for 5 minutes you would seem to be in the middle of nowhere. However, the things that make Leo so great are the people, the community, and the small-town feeling. This is by far the best community to raise children in because the school systems are great, the athletic and extra-curricular opportunities are enormous, and it is a relatively safe and conservative community. I would most definitely live here if I had to start all over again. I cannot imagine a better place to raise kids with proper morals, manners, respect, and intellect. You can see the connection that the town has when they all gather into a far-too-small football stadium to cheer on our local high school and when they bundle up to go out and watch out basketball games. This community is a great base for support for any event.Recently they have added a number of parks and attractions to create more fun opportunities to bond with fellow community members and I predict more things like that to come in the near future. One goal of mine is actually to buy a building in the "center" of Leo and build a small ice-cream parlor to serve the community. Leo is where I grew up, and it is definitely the place I would like to end.
