Local businesses include restaurants, retails stores at the Tanger Outlet Mall, a ShopKo, Lamperts, County Market, liquor stores, banks, fast food chains, automotive repair shops, a funeral service home, a food shelf, several hair salons and nail salons, a dentist office, a lawyer office, taxidermy service a few small gift stores and a thrift store. There are not really any big companies but I can get everything I need in town.

My town is coming out of a recession from within the last decade so their is an increase in job opportunities. However, a majority of residents commute to the cities for work. Most jobs in town do not offer very high pay. As a high school student, I found a part-time job that is perfect for me but I could not make a living off of it.
