Lemay, Missouri is a great place to live. I've personally resided in the community for 10 years. It provides great community resources within the police department, religious affiliations and non-profit organizations. The school district is first rate and the businesses and services provided make for ease of access to meet the needs of everyone who resides here. Elected leadership evokes positive and fairness in their political focus. Their values project the decisions they make for the community. They give effective communication on projects, plans and have community meetings to detail every aspect of what they are planning for community improvement. This will be my lifelong home.
It's decent, the people are nice most of the time and unless there's some sort of drama people tend to mind their business. But there are plenty of problems with drugs. Things like the occasional needle on the street, and obviously intoxicated people stumbling into the local 711 are extremely common. As long as you know how to handle/ignore those situations you're fine
I love the area. Great housing and lots of grocery stores to choose from. The schools are great and the diversity of people that live here are wonderful.
