Lehigh Acres is a massive town with an abundance of empty lots for building and managing properties. Due to it’s size, it does make getting around lengthy because of the nearest grocery store could take a descent 5-30 minute drive. There aren’t many facilities that have job openings and you may have to travel to the neighboring towns when seeking jobs. There are some small attractions such as parks, a bowling alley, a handful of mom and pop shops, and a few pubs. The area is growing rapidly and will increase the property value of housings, therefore if you’re planning on moving here, now is the time! Most areas are very quiet but you will get the occasional house party goers.
I assume there is a political agenda and a lot of false statistics on here. As a former public servant in the area I can confidently tell you the crime and 3rd world poverty is more rampant than ever.
While there are of course a lot of good working class people who live in the town. They likely don't see the other world of terrible behavior that lives next door. It's deceiving because it's not overt like in Chicago, NYC, or LA. It's very subvert here.
Heroin and Fentanyl addiction are rampant. Homeless camps are everywhere, you just don't see them because they're deep in the woods.
Due to undocumented immigrants from the island nations, sex trafficking is a dark industry and rampant due to the rural "keep to yourself culture".
Murders / executions are very frequent. You just don't know about it because the news doesn't know about it.
There are over 100 group homes (in single family residences) with severely mentally ill people living right next door.
Good luck

This town is full of lazy people that hate their jobs I have noticed this at almost every store I have been in. There is no nice area that you could go to with nice vibes like a nice downtown area. The walmart is garbage. If you need to run to a real hardware store your looking at an average 1 hr round trip from the local CVS. Do your research before thinking this place is a good place to move. Sorry it that sounds real negative. But I have never lived in such a town. But if you don't mind terrible service at almost every store in the whole town you live in then Welcome to Lehigh Acres! Lol.. Also this city does not treat the area for mosquitoes like Fort Myers. Out dated everything and limited places to eat on the go. No Starbucks in the city either.
