It's a small town, so I know almost everybody around! The roads need work, the people are generally kind, the schooling is terrific! There are some interesting places and events that take place.
I went to High School and currently live in Leesport. It is a wonderful place for families, especially with children. Going to the sporting events at the high school are enjoyable and walking around my neighborhood feels safe and fun.
Leesport is a great place to live, if you make it one. The local school, Schuylkill Valley, is a great school for kids to go. There are multiple playgrounds, public pools, and libraries all centered around one area for easy of use. If you are willing to travel a short ways, Blue Marsh and Antietam Lake Park are both great for day walks or bike rides. I highly recommend Antietam Lake Park if you are into mountain biking. The really nice thing about Leesport is that although not every store is located right in our city, we are in the middle of a few bigger surrounding cities so nothing is really too far by car.
