Leeds is a beautiful small town with an attractive, walk-able downtown area. There's a large park with a children's play area, a walking trail, ball parks and lots of grass space for picnics and playing. Leeds also has a world-class motorcycle museum and race track, a Bass Pro Shop, and a large outlet shopping mall. It's a good place to live with reasonable priced housing and nice neighbors.
I have only lived in Leeds for 10 years now. My husband and I moved here from Trussville, AL. We like Leeds because it is still small. It's a close community that tries to support one another. If you have kids, it's a wonderful place to raise a family because everyone knows each other, for the most part. The new schools are amazing as well.
Roads are very poorly maintained. Due to having too small a police presence for this area, police are slow to respond at times. Neighbors are good at looking out for one another. We have a great splash pad and a couple of parks for small children but nothing really for the youth.
