Our winters are extremely snowy and cold most years. This year we had a lot of snow and it still has yet to melt. Our summers are generally hot and humid. We have a lot of thunderstorms that are sometimes bad, but generally always cause flooding. We get a lot of rain in the spring that causes a lot of flooding. The fall is usually the most uneventful season aside for some late tropical storms. Usually those occur in the summer though, along with any hurricanes that make it that far up the coast.

A lot of moms in the area are active, but there are definitely plenty of families that neither exercise nor eat healthy. My family grows veggetables and we visit our local farm stand to eat as fresh as we can, however, not many people in the area do this. Our hospital is a 15 minutes drive and they are usually very nice. They aren't too good in the emergency center, however, so personally, I prefer driving to Morristown in an emergency. My regular doctor is very good, though.
We have little crime in this area. A lot of things that happen in this area are small and the police respond rather quickly. My high school always has a police officer stationed there so I always felt very safe. We were well prepared in the occasion of fires, bomb threats, and internal and external lockdowns. The fire department responds very quickly as does the EMT squad. Police do like to sit on roads and hand out tickets, but what policeman doesn't?
