For myself personally, I have family everywhere in the town. We always have family events at the park that are enjoyable. Sitting back and watching the oldest generations have encounters with the younger generations enjoying good food, is always a great time. School in Lawrence was a good experience as well. I remember all of my teachers always going above and beyond to assure I received the guidance I needed. Lawrence is also a very historical location. As a small child, in school, we use to travel through the buildings down town on scavenger hunts. Majority of the buildings have plaques on them with the history of the building, which was always interesting. While the building downtown are historic they also reflect a great night life full of small boutiques, restaurants, and even locations to get some great homemade ice cream. I can't recall anything outside of great childhood memories from the town of Lawrence and of course Rock Chalk Jay hawk, Go KU!

Lawrence is a fabulous small college town with very friendly people and a whole lot of community spirit. It has fantastic local restaurants, shops, bars, microbreweries and coffee joints on and around historic and charming Mass St. Lawrence is the rare hilly town unlike any other in this “flat” state and the beautiful KU campus sits atop Mount Oread. Lawrence is a very safe place to live with wide bike trails which are across the entire area. It is a short drive to KC and the cost of living is low compared to most areas around the country. It is a fairly liberal town in a conservative state which is a nice blend. Even though it is a college town, it is not rowdy here. It is very laid back with no traffic hassles. Football and basketball game days are so much FUN! Heck, even my K-State friends live here lol. Overall, this is my favorite place I have ever lived.
A relaxed, yet inspiring place. Filled with kind, hardworking people dedicated to preserving the wonderful community that exists here. Perfect for everyone, whether you're a freshman in college wanting to have a good time in a great town, a mother who wants her kids to have a great education or a retiree who wants to relax and smell the roses. Lawrence is the place for you!
