Lauderhill, Florida is the home of Jackie Gleason Golf Course and was once a thriving community in the 1950's and 1060's but the quality of life had suffered a major set back. Crime is on the rise and buildings are falling apart but the residents are taking the neighborhood back! The neighborhood will be going through a beautification to make it look wonderful just like before. The city is working hard to restore Lauderhill back to it's glory days.

I have lived in Lauderhill, Florida for over fifteen years. I live nearer to the Tamarac side and absolutely love it! The people are diverse from many different cultural and religious backgrounds. There is a sense of community since everyone is so sweet and friendly. The public school systems are well versed in the range of information being distributed. I feel rather safe traveling alone during the wee hours of the night. Although there isn’t much to do in regards to the nightlife, Lauderhill isn’t more than thirty minutes away from the dancing scene. I truly enjoy living in Lauderhill, Florida.
I have lived in Lauderhill FL my entire life. It's a comfortable and affordable suburb to grow, learn and raise a family. Their is a bit of everything for everyone, such as, Tate's Comics for the comic book lovers, Lauderhill Sports park for many athletic crews and the new Lauderhill Performing Arts Center for those who love live performances. Lauderhill has a lot of great local restaurants scattered about in it's many shopping plazas. My personal favorite is Sybil's Bakery and Roti Cafe. At Sybil's you get a very delicious and affordable Caribbean meal served by very friendly staff. The best perk of this suburb is the Community Bus Shuttle because it is completely Free!
