I like how Lauderdale is a quiet clean neighborhood, the presence of the U of M agriculture campus nearby makes it full of beautiful long green spaces. It is bike friendly and there are a few parks nearby. Apartments are cheaper, and the area is kind of in the middle, close to downtown Minneapolis, Rosedale Mall, and Grand Ave.
Friendly neighbors, Quiet Streets and parks galore. You will feel right at home on the winding streets, almost all of with ending in a small flower patch or wetland filled with wildlife. Its not unlikely to pass the same friendly faces on your evening walk, or repeat small talk with neighbors reclining on sunlit porches.
Living here has been all right. Nothing too exciting. There is a mall nearby. There are lots of police cars which worries me but otherwise than that, the neighborhood is not bad
