I loved La Salle it was small enough not be too busy with traffic but it had everything. With other small towns nearby like Oglesby, Peru, Utica; I had an amazing yoga studio (tanayoga), the best cafe's (fourth street bakery), many local pubs with entertainment, a winery club, a state park, camping areas, and a great community. I would move back in a heartbeat if I could make more doing what I love (massage therapy).
Everyone is friendly in lasalle, your neighbors become more like family because they are always willing to give a hand and help. It's a small town so everyone knows everyone and If you don't people are still willing to help you and get to know you. There's not a whole lot to do around here, but if you like food beer and making friends this is the right spot for you. We don't have a lot of job opportunities just yet but more and more the area is growing and trying to grow.
