Great family area. Largo is located within greater Upper Marlboro, Maryland, is an unincorporated area and census-designated place in Prince George's County. The area has a lot of entertainment for the family such as Six Flags America amusement park . Great schools and colleges like Largo High School, University of Maryland Global Campus and Prince George's Community College. FedEx Field, the Washington Redskins' football stadium, is nearby, across the Capital Beltway.
Watkins Regional Park, has an old-fashioned carousel, miniature train ride, miniature golf, the Old Maryland Farm, a very large playground, and animals on display.

I moved to Largo in 2006, been here for about 14 years. It was a good place growing up but now there's barely any job opputunities, our schools are old and need to be renovated. The books are old, desk are old, everything needs to be upgraded. I wouldn't raise my kids here, certain communities have their playgounds taken away, and kids have no where to play, so they turn to crime for solice.
Living in Largo have been great. Moving from VA to MD has been easier as far as commute and metro accessibility. The down side about living so close to FedEx field is the traffic the games bring. It is hard to get to local businesses, you legit have to go all around the world (lol) just to get to a location that was literally five minutes away. Other than that it is a great place if you're looking to workout, you can exercise around the field and if you like the Skins, you can be very close to the game and do not have to worry about parking.
