Landis is a small town good for families and a very safe place. It is a long commute to anything around usually have to drive either to Concord or Salisbury if you need anything. But you do get more house/land for the price you pay here compared to Charlotte.

There are mostly elderly people and families who've been in the area for generations, very conservative, set in a certain way of life, slow to change or accept progress. Most people have dogs. The community is rather close-knit and hesitant to welcome newcomers
This is a sleepy, small town with little opportunity and no growth. Most residents are retired and elderly, lower income. There are few jobs in the area, but the cost of living is low. It's quiet and there is no crime. The area is close to more metropolitan and diverse communities and amenities.
