Landen is a wonderful, family friendly community that my family has enjoyed for the last two years. Paved walking trails connect each of the 28 communities surrounding Landen Lake, which you can utilize for fishing and boating. Each community has access to well-maintained recreational areas, which commonly include a swimming pool, tennis courts, swing sets, and a club house for events/parties. Neighborhoods feel like an extended family and residents are very inclusive. Residents are proud of their homes and it is not uncommon to have neighbors that have been living in the area for >20 years. The local public schools are commonly rated among the best in Ohio. Living in Landen allows great access for fun/recreation (Kings Island, Great Wolf Lodge, and Little Miami Scenic Bike Trail), shopping/restaurants (Deerfield Towne Center, Fields Ertel, and Costco), and jobs (P&G and companies in Mason). My wife and I can’t imagine a better place to raise our kids.
Landen, Ohio is one of the most family friendly places. It is an active community and has a multitude of walking trails along with various animal friendly parks. There is a lovely running trail that encircles Landen lake. Landen Lake is a staple in Landen, you can go fishing, boating, swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. The surrounding neighborhoods are well kept and very friendly especially to out siders. If you go in direction for ten minutes you are bound to find a variety of shops, restaurants, parks, trails, and gyms. It is only ten minutes or less to Kings Island or The Beach. It is extremely safe and very supportive toward local schools. There is not a huge nightlife population but if you are looking for some action we are only a thirty minute drive from downtown Cincinnati.
Landen is a very nice place to live, it has a beautiful lake, and lots of nature trails. In addition, the community in Landen is wonderful. Everybody is always so friendly. Its a great place for families as well because of the park.
