Living in Lancaster, CA was most certainly an experience. The crime rates have begun to increase over the years depending on the area in which you reside. There has been an increasing amount of construction and traffic in the area causing many issues. Overall, it is a small town apart of the Antelope Valley. Getting from one side of town to the next takes about 30 minutes at most depending on traffic and the route you take. Housing cost is slightly excessive if you would like to live in the more active side of town. The town does not have too much to offer in terms of entertainment other than a few places here and there. The schools have a lot to offer in terms of education depending on where you choose to attend, and where you decide to send your children. Overall, it is something to adjust to. If you choose to overlook some of the towns quirks, you will find affordable and very good education.
Lancaster has been a great place to grow however I believe after Covid we’ve had a spike of more homelessness which has been heartbreaking to see. However, the community is great here and everybody is kind. I would like to see the community give a helping hand to those less fortunate and the homeless.
My overall experience with Lanaster, California is something I will always remember because of how some people never thought i was from california whenever I said Lancaster they would automatically think of pennsylvania. But otherwise I liked how my experience with Lancaster was in a decent experience but there are alot of things that have happened in lancaster such as the rise of homelessness and even how the crime rate as of now has started to rise out of nowhere. I truly hope for change in Lancaster and the one I want to see the most is the change in how we give better treatment to the homeless especially finding certain places where they can get help and at least try again for a better life.
Lack of good job opportunities, lack of higher education campuses, high in crime, nothing recreationally fun to do.
Lancaster feels like it has a great balance. It is a smaller city, but can access the resources of LA County, which allows it to have programming you might not otherwise expect in a small city. They have revitalized the downtown area into an arts district with museums and a performing arts center. This is also where they hold the farmers market and community events for holidays around the year.
I would like to see change with the speed limits in Lancaster, CA. A lot of speed limits on the streets are 55+ and many cars drive crazy because of this. There are too many accidents on these roads. We have a lot of beginner and older drivers on here who end up being in accident over the reckless driving of someone else.

It is a rather quiet city, with nothing to complain about. We have all the essential stores we need.
Lancaster is my hometown, and I like the warm sunny days. The view of the mountains on the freeway is amazing. I've made a lot of good friends and memories here. what I would like to see change here is the gas prices going down and taking action to help climate change.
The city has a community college, library, poppy reserve, fairgrounds, and close to a water park. People here are so different and sometimes moody. While others are friendly and polite. I like the restaurants and fun things to do outside of school. Sports are fun and have games in the fall an spring. Weather is nice here, only raining in the winter and warm summers. Wear sunscreen and drive safely. I'm headstrong so I do what I want most of the time. Housing is sorta affordable where you look is important.
30 years ago this was a different city. The crime rate has skyrocketed and I would only recommend living on the far west side of town for safety reasons. The Lancaster BLVD does have some night life but again its not very safe late at night. Unfortunately there is a disproportionate amount of homeless in the area as Los Angeles has been sending their homeless population on the northbound train and Lancaster is the last stop.
It's not a bad town, just not much to do but it's a good environment for those who want a simple life. There's typical areas but not a lively town.
Lancaster is a city overrun with crime. Once upon a time it was an affordable and family friendly place; however, there are now daily car thefts, home invasion robberies, and shootings. I would not recommend moving here.
I wish there was more to do here. The weather is either too hot or too cold. There are some good neighborhoods. Overall an okay place to live.
Lancaster is a gem outside of LA. Small town with plenty of stores/restaurants and future projects coming up.
I like downtown area good for entertainment and local restaurants . Also has performing arts center if you’re interested
I have lived here all my life and I have been safe here. There is not much to do here anymore most things have closed down during covid.
