Lanark Reviews

Lanark is a small town of just over 1,000 people. It is a very conservative town, and there is a lot of hate and bigotry towards other races other than their own, and lots of hatred towards the LGBTQ+ individuals. The schools need more education on these subjects of homophobia and racism. However, I do like the traditional family type of deal in Lanark. Lanark appreciates family time and tradition. It is hard to find a job here, unfortunately, because of how small the town is, but once you do find a job, housing and the cost of living is very affordable. It is hard to commute to a grocery store due to the fact that the closest Walmart is 30 minutes away from us. Overall, I give a two star rating of the town of Lanark because of its lack of education, lack of safety (especially if you're a minority), and lack of job opportunities.

Lanark is a very family safe neighborhood. It’s the kind of neighborhood where everyone knows everyone and you never have to be afraid to go outside. Your neighbors are always super friendly and helpful. We may lack places to shop, but we don’t lack in hospitality. The school system is fantastic and is a great environment for the kids.
I love the small town life. Although there ain't much to do here on Sundays, its a fun, friendly town.
