Amazing libraries, pools, and other services. Tones of businesses, great walking and biking community. Amazing architecture and parks. Great place to hike!
I was born and raised in Lakewood Ohio, and there are many different opportunities in the community and in the school systems. For example, Lakewood High School, which is the high school I am going to and will be graduating from in 2024, has the West Shore program. This is a program only available at LHS, but students from schools all over Ohio come here to apply to the West Shore programs. These allow students to dip their toes in a specific workforce, from digital art, to construction, to medical. I find that really cool. Also, Help to Other (aka H2O) is a volunteering program that has many different volunteering projects from helping the homeless to teaching students. I joined their Home Alone project, in which my group taught First Aid to students ranging from 9 to 11 years of age. I love Lakewood, and I know Lakewood loves me.
The guy who claimed this was the most stressful city in ohio in 2019 was posting false information : CLEVELAND — A rash of recent violent crime, including a mass shooting, has certainly caused anxiety for those who live in Cleveland. Amid those concerns, Cleveland is again at the top of the list of cities having the hardest time coping with stress.
For the fourth straight year, WalletHub ranked Cleveland first in its study of the "Most Stressed Cities in America." In order to determine where Americans cope best and worst with their stress in 2023, WalletHub compared more than 180 cities across four dimensions using 39 key metrics. The data set ranges from average weekly work hours to the unemployment rate to divorce and suicide rates.
Cleveland has held that distinction for four years (which includes 2019)
