Lakeway is a wonderful place for just about anyone. The overall dynamic of the area is amazing, and is great for families, seniors, adults, teens, and children all alike. While the area and homes are slightly more expensive than other areas, it is worth all the extra money. The schools in the district are amazing, the amount of activities and things to do in the area is never-ending, and the security among the streets and other areas is great. Overall, this suburb community is a wonderful place for just about anyone to live in, and it's only about 30 minutes away from downtown Austin!

Lakeway is a great place to grow up, its only ever a ten minute drive to the lake and there is a good amount to do in and around lakeway. On the lake you can boat, paddle board, or zip line, and if the water is not for you the galleria, a mini shopping mall, is only a fifteen minute drive away. There is much to do for children and the schools are top in the state and have a great staff that encourages growth, creativity, and learning. The commute to Austin is only 30 minutes, and there are many inexpensive things to do in Austin. Overall Lakeway is the perfect place to be any age!
I moved to Lakeway with my parents about 3 years ago. In these 3 years, a lot has changed. They have added more restaurants, new shops and a new HEB. There are a lot of jobs in this area and the school are some of the best in Austin. At times there can be some traffic but otherwise not to bad. Everyone is pretty friendly and there is always something going on for families. The town mostly has older residents or families so there is not much of a nightlife scene, but you aren't to far from downtown Austin which is nice!
