Compared to Las Vegas where I used to live, I love it here! It's so chill and calm with lots of fun and interesting things to do see that I couldn't do in Vegas.

Lakeport used to be the perfect small town. More recently there have been a lot of homeless people panhandling and causing more crime. Housing prices have also increased to the point a lot of local people can no longer afford to buy houses. The county is the largest employer, but the low salaries and medical insurance expense have caused many people to leave the county to be able to support their families.
If you love outdoor recreation, set against mountains and the oldest natural lake in the western hemisphere then Lake County, California, with only eleven stoplights county wide, venture a few hours north of the bay area. You can walk any town from end to end in under an hour. Wine tasting, hiking, bird watching, boating, gaming. A small community where a lazy evening gazing under a sky full of stars always satisfies.
