I enjoyed the small downtown area with a park, dance studio, and restaurants. As for public schools, Lakes Community High School is a quality education. The teachers are very concerned about students and caring about how students feel/work outside of the classroom/etc... I found myself a few very quality connections with teachers, and one that actually helped me to decide what major I want to pursue in the future.
Lake Villa is a great town with a lot of different stores and restaurants available nearby. Everything is within a 20 minute drive and the neighborhoods here are nice and well kept. There can be quite a bit of garbage along the roads and I plan to help clean it up once the weather warms up! Overall Lake Villa is a great town with nice people.
