Lake Mohegan Reviews

Small town. Bigger towns within close proximity. Great for starting a family or for retired folk looking for a quiet town. A deli on every corner, quintessential New York small town.
Mohegan Lake is a friendly community with an extensive educational network. The members of the city, for the most part, are always ready to lend a helping hand to people in need. For kids, this is a great place to grow up. There are plenty of children in this area, and the vast school community always allows children to make new friends, especially once they reach the age of middle school. Once you reach the high school level, however, the city feels smaller, and there are fewer things to participate in. Other than driving around and going to dinner, there is not much to do in this area. Frankly, many high school age students are bored here. But for the vast majority of our time here, Mohegan Lake is a great community to grow up. Overall, this is a great area.
Overall a safe and clean area. Section 8 is increasing, but still can not beat being an hour north of NYC without the crowds.
Living in a small rural area there are not many places to shop. Encouraging the travels to nearby towns for local stores such as Walmart, groceries, and shopping malls/Plazas.
I’ve lived in Mohegan Lake for three years now. My experience has been overall very good. There are parks and a lake nearby. The public schools are amazing and nearby. It is a very safe and quite town with little night life. There are many houses for sale at average prices considering many factors. And its a very family-friendly and diverse area, one will find people of all races, ethnicities, and cultures. The town is in the very center of everything, with malls, supermarkets, shopping centers, and many other places near. And most importantly, job opportunities are high anywhere you go. Mohegan Lake is an amazing place for everyone.
Mohegan Lake is a place that is great for those raising families. It is very much what you would expect from a middle class, white, suburban neighborhood. I wish there was more diversity and more to do for young adults, but it is a great place to live as a child or old person.
I think Mohegan lake, NY is a wonderful place to raise a family and live in. Its a very small town in Westchester County. Not much to do if between 23-35 if single
Mohegan Lake is a great neighborhood. It is at the center of most shopping malls, grocery stores, and restaurants around the city. There's not a lot of sidewalks in which people can use to get to their destination, so most are reliant on cars, taxis, and even public transportation. This would be the only thing I would change about Mohegan Lake, add more sidewalks. However, other than that there's a Walmart, Kohl's Marshalls, movie theater, and much more nearby. Mohegan Lake is definitely great for those who want a quiet, suburban life, or somewhere to raise their family.
I have been living in Mohegan Lake for two years. It is a small town, but people here are very nice and friendly. There are big stores in this city, such as Walmart, Best Buy and even a shopping mall. We also have a firefighter department where I donate blood few weeks ago. I love living in Mohegan Lake.
This place is nice if you get out and do stuff. There are cops patrolling but it is not as bad as you might think it is . The valley is a gorgeous place to live. You can go to the river and see everything that is there like the river. It has so much diversity it is unparallel.
Crime is not hi, slight vandalism due to mischief
Good area to live, friendly people, good schools, honest businesses. Just hi taxes
The police are always in the surrounding neighborhood. They routinely drive past areas. The police will stop anyone on the road who looks suspicious
The people are friendly. They're nice. They diversity is increasing.
There's not much to do. It's pretty boring. The same old stuff all the time. It's a small town not that small but it has the same environment of one.
They handle mother nature pretty well
Everyone is always up for a conversation no matter who
