Mohegan Lake is a friendly community with an extensive educational network. The members of the city, for the most part, are always ready to lend a helping hand to people in need. For kids, this is a great place to grow up. There are plenty of children in this area, and the vast school community always allows children to make new friends, especially once they reach the age of middle school. Once you reach the high school level, however, the city feels smaller, and there are fewer things to participate in. Other than driving around and going to dinner, there is not much to do in this area. Frankly, many high school age students are bored here. But for the vast majority of our time here, Mohegan Lake is a great community to grow up. Overall, this is a great area.
I’ve lived in Mohegan Lake for three years now. My experience has been overall very good. There are parks and a lake nearby. The public schools are amazing and nearby. It is a very safe and quite town with little night life. There are many houses for sale at average prices considering many factors. And its a very family-friendly and diverse area, one will find people of all races, ethnicities, and cultures. The town is in the very center of everything, with malls, supermarkets, shopping centers, and many other places near. And most importantly, job opportunities are high anywhere you go. Mohegan Lake is an amazing place for everyone.
Small town. Bigger towns within close proximity. Great for starting a family or for retired folk looking for a quiet town. A deli on every corner, quintessential New York small town.
