Lake Jackson is a nice town blooming with new businesses and growth. While some businesses are charming, others need a little bit of beautifying and maintenance. The shopping is decent and the amount of restaurants is average. I'd like the see an expansion of stores and restaurants but I have high hopes of that as the city grows. There are several charming residential areas scattered throughout Lake Jackson. There are also lots of city run facilities and events that create a nice family atmospheres. The outward appearance of the schools is top notch.

This town is a quaint place with downtown only spanning a few blocks and one highway passing through. On my street everyone knows everybody and everybody's business. I would say on average most of the people who live here will keep living here, there are many generations of people who have stayed. My family is one of them, my great, great grandmother came from Norway, my great grandmother, grandmother, mother, and now my three month old daughter live in this beautiful town. It's the kind of place where people don't lock their doors during the day and everyone waves at each other, even if we don't know you. Were ten minutes from the beach and it's a beach that is wonderful all year round. Fortunately we also have the Brazos river for other water activities. We may be small but our population is growing along with our jobs, please come and join our close knit community, your already home.
Lived here all my life, it is a great family oriented small town that is growing. Many jobs available with all the hospitals and chemical plants growing.
I wouldn't change a thing!
