Lake Havasu City is a tourist/retirement community. It is relatively small and if you enjoy activities that revolve around a lake, then this is your town!

I have lived here for over 22 years. It is extremely hot most the year, 120 for summer(June, July, Aug and sep) and about 90 from Feb to may, and Oct to Nov) it has been over 90 on Christmas day a few times. If you love the heat this is. Great place for you. Nothing to do for kids and families. This town only caters to the snowbird population who come nov-march. The town has alot of drugs and domestic violence, for such a small town. I will say it has been growing and has gotten more big name businesses, but homes and groceries have gone up so much, it used to be very affordable.
I love Lake Havasu City, it is a small town where you can get from point A to B within a reasonable time, yet not too small where you are running into someone you know every five seconds at the grocery store. The crime rate is very low and our evening sun sets and night star watching are like no where else!
