Lake Barcroft is an incredible place to live; it offers a soothing, natural setting just a few miles away from Washington, D.C. The lake attracts tons of families and it is always buzzing with activity. It is very safe as well. The community is very close knit- we plan firework shows, easter egg hunts, and more. There is even a "medical closet" for people who need medical supplies like wheel chairs and crutches. It is not as diverse as the surrounding areas, but it is not terribly ethnically homogenous, either. The public schools nearby are part of the Fairfax County Public School system, which are some of the nations best. Everyone who lives in Lake Barcroft is highly invested in the community, making it a great place to live.

Within a five mile radius you can find anything you need right here in this local area. There are many restaurants and shopping stores that you will never get bored if you are stuck at home because there is always something to do. There are also craft stores such as Michaels and Jo-Ann fabrics, popular stores like Ross, Marshalls, Target, Shoppers, Barnes and Nobles, and Home Depot. Restaurants such as Red Robin, Dogfish Alehouse, Wendy's, Chick-fil-A, Olive Garden, Chipotle, and several others are no more than 5 minutes away by car. There are so many options so this neighborhood is very convenient.
there are several good restaurants around the area, but I'm not to familiar with the bars and the clubs. Easy and quick accessed food is also available such as McDonald's, Wendy's, Chick-fil-A, Chipotle, and Olive Garden. There are several bars and other half bar half restaurant places like Applebee's and the English Pub.
