We live across the street from the large houses that overlook the city of Louisville, high on top of the Knobs. Our home is nothing in comparison to these mansions, yet, our home is just as comfortable. We have many fishing ponds scattered throughout the community, which I like to visit. Our high school is one of the best in the state of Indiana, Floyd Central High School. Though this may sound cliche, I couldn't ask for better neighbors. From the retired old man across the street to the rowdy neighbors next door.
Some houses are large, others are relatively small, so the choices are nearly limitless. The cost of living is expensive especially for those with a view of the city. Local grocery stores and restaurants are a ten minute drive away. The best areas to reside are those near Floyd Central High School.
The overall experience of this area is not bad. Wish I lived where there were there was more interaction with people. Also wish I lived where there was more to do and more things to get involved with. Where I live is not a bad neighborhood but the areas around me are increasing big big time in crime. I most likely would not live here again. I want to live where there is a lot more going on and a lot more to do. The ranking of this area compared to others around me is good due to less crime. I see great things in the future for this area if it stays up to date and keeps doing the little things like Hubers.
