Working in Lafayette
I have recently moved to Lafayette in the last 2 years and like it so much more than I liked living in gunbarrel! It seems further from Boulder but the distance is the exact same and Boulder is very crowded. Lafayette has so much arorund it and it's so much easier to get to the mall, Denver, etc!
I think Lafayette is a very nice city with a lot to do. There is a great downtown area, plenty of beautiful public parks and pools, and is in a fantastic location. I love living here with my family!
I have lived in Lafayette for my entire life, and the town has grown tremendously in positive ways over the past 17 years. There are many different elementary schools, one of which focuses on TAG students and another that focuses on teaching students to be bilingual. The middle school and high school are also very good schools. Main street (public road) is a very lovely center of town, and since the creation of Eats and Sweets and Festival Plaza, extremely family friendly. There are places for children, teens, and adults alike in the town, including parks, recreational facilities, and specialty coffee houses, and many new and local beer breweries. The town has a large Hispanic population, which everyone in the area embraces wholeheartedly. There is a very nice mix of chain and local businesses that give the town a unique atmosphere. Overall it is a very nice place to live!
