Quiet and a good, safe place for families. The town has most of the necessary foundational businesses to support a good way of life.
I have been living in Ladysmith my whole life and just started my Sophomore year of high school. Ladysmith is a small town, it's quiet, relaxing and a good place to live if you want to get away from city life. The schools are pretty good, the teachers are nice and the students are mostly nice. But there are a few cons of living here. For one, there aren't many good paying jobs, although you don't need much money to live here because it is pretty affordable. Second, there's not much to do for the youth here unless you go to some of the bigger towns/cities that are a couple miles away, and because there's not much to do for the youth, they tend to find bad things to do. Three, you can start a business and this town, but the chances of it lasting for a while are slim. In conclusion, I think Ladysmith is a nice town but it does have some cons.
Having grown up in Ladysmith, I love it. It’s a charming town, with kind, hard-working people. Many people who live here are invested in the success of the city and its residents. Having said that, I would love to see the city leadership be more open to new ideas and promoting ways to keep younger people in the area.
