Honestly, Ladera Heights is a pretty cool place to be. It’s pretty safe in comparison to a whole lot of the nearby cities closer to South-Central LA, and it’s super close to a whole lot of other parts of the city, like Culver City, LAX, Inglewood, Playa Vista, and more, allowing for relatively stress-free commutes to work, school, or wherever you gotta go in the morning. Though it’s not exactly a haven for pedestrians, in line with pretty much the rest of Los Angeles, you can still get around to the many cool restaurants and stores on La Cienega, La Tijera, and Centinela, especially if you have a bike you can use to get around. Overall Ladera Heights is just about your typical neighborhood in regards to community, with its location and amenities being a really good icing on the cake.
Last year, I recently moved to Ladera Heights from Jefferson Park in South LA. Although I do miss my old neighborhood, Ladera Heights is very beautiful and has friendly people. The neighbors are very informative, friendly, and they check up on you often. It’s very quiet and I don’t have to worry about unnecessary noise or anything inappropriate in the neighborhood. It’s very convenient getting to and from school on public transportation, as the bus stop is right up the street and so is the mall.
I have lived in Ladera Heights for as long as I can remember. I have always felt safe and welcome in this community. I would really love to live here when I have a family of my own, because I want my children to grow up in an environment where they will feel safe.
