There are so many parks near by, and the roads are big and spacious. This setting makes it safe to walk with to nearby schools with kids, to bike, and jog! It's a very clean and quiet neighborhood! There are really great grocery markets, shopping centers, $1 theatre, gyms and other community socializing spots that makes this neighborhood great.
La Mirada is a very beautiful city. It suits people who love to be around grassy areas as there are many parks and fields. La Mirada is generally a quiet city. I could say it is peaceful and safe. There are a variety of things to do whether it is taking an art class down in city hall or going to the Dollar Theater which people love. I do think that I would choose to live here again because of its peaceful environment, however I believe this city needs more downtown centers to provide more activities and entertainment to its citizens. This area is great for families. La Mirada is already starting to open new businesses and shopping centers which will benefit the city. The future for this area is looking great. Something new is added to La Mirada almost every summer whether its a new Walgreeens or a Menchies and Pieology. La Mirada has great potential to become an even better city.
Housing here is pretty standard. We have a small area where the houses are very high end and expensive and we have areas that are bit more run down and tend to have more local disturbances with the police, etc. Prices of housing is pretty standard for Southern California so property values are pretty good. Utilities are average as well.
