La Mirada has been an amazing neighborhood to grow up in, I couldn't have asked for a better place to have had my childhood in! I have been living here for 17 years and have attended schools around the area and you can say they are immaculate as I will be a senior graduating with a 4.1 cumulative GPA. The city itself is not problematic whatsoever, it may be small but the stores around the area are well distributed as nothing is too far. The neighborhood I have lived in has been safe and there has never been any disputes between neighbors, if anything the neighbors keep a look out for each other. There are several parks spread out through the city and each are all accessible by walking no more than 10 minutes from people's houses which is great! Overall La Mirada has been a beautiful experience and if I decide to stay living in California in the future as I get older then I will most definitely be staying in this city and raise my family here.

I've always felt safe in La Mirada, there has never been a time where I was scared to go outside. Just the other day my dad left his truck bed open while driving, his toolbox fell out and spilled all over the street. When he arrived at his destination he realized and quickly headed back home to look for it and he found all the pieces put together in the toolbox on the curb of a neighbor. They cleaned it up and left it for him to find. Everyone has been very friendly!
La Mirada is the safest neighborhood I know in Los Angeles County! It's fairly small so you learn to be familiar with some of the people, and the people for the most part are very friendly. I live for the third of July fireworks and they're always unforgettable. I wouldn't see myself living anywhere else because I love La Mirada! There's nothing bad I could say about it.
