La Grange Reviews
I have lived in La Grange for over 20 years now and can honestly say that is an absolutely fabulous place to raise a family. As someone who lived downtown Chicago for 10 years prior to coming out here, I was concerned that it would be boring, but there are so many excellent restaurants and wonderful places to have a cup of coffee or a drink that I do not feel the need to go downtown Chicago for a nice night out. At the same time, it's just a 20 minute train ride back to the city if you are so inclined. You can't ask for better public schools and there are plenty of reputable private schools around if you prefer. Most importantly, I have never been concerned with my kids safety, which was nice during their tween years when they started walking downtown La Grange by themselves to hang out with their friends. The local movie theater is always playing a recent movie and there are plenty of quick food and ice cream shops around to keep them happy.
I love La Grange, IL. This village is a family, friendly area that is affords great education, comfortable living and caters to old and young people. One of the downfalls of La Grange is their efforts in creating a more diverse environment. My mother was raised in La Grange. I as well as my son have had the opportunity to reside here. Ethnic issues initially arise until stereotypical barriers are brought down. I wish that life could be more visually pleasant, but prejudice still exists. Neighbors are great once they realize there is no real threat among us as a people. Overall, La Grange is an awesome place to be!
LaGrange is a super friendly and cute town. The downtown area is always populated with toddlers, teenagers and adults doing their own thing. Among the restaurants, there are town favorites and every couple of years one or two businesses switch for a good variety. The houses on the blocks are always full of welcoming neighbors where block parties are a common way to bond.
