I love La Grange, IL. This village is a family, friendly area that is affords great education, comfortable living and caters to old and young people. One of the downfalls of La Grange is their efforts in creating a more diverse environment. My mother was raised in La Grange. I as well as my son have had the opportunity to reside here. Ethnic issues initially arise until stereotypical barriers are brought down. I wish that life could be more visually pleasant, but prejudice still exists. Neighbors are great once they realize there is no real threat among us as a people. Overall, La Grange is an awesome place to be!

La Grange is an amazing family friendly town. La Grange is in the suburbs of Chicago, so it gives you that family feel with a variety of great school districts, but then also is only 15 minutes away from the city. It's really the best of both worlds. Where I live in La Grange, it is about 7 minutes from downtown La grange. Downtown is a vibrant little modern town with a variety of restaurants and shops. It's really safe as well, so parents don't have to worry about letting their kids go down there with their friends. It's very safe, theres always a lot of people and its close to the police station as well. One thing that I would like to see change, would be to make downtown La grange bigger, having more shops than just a couple boutiques will bring more people to our little downtown area and also providing my jobs.
La Grange, Illinois has a small town feel just miles from downtown Chicago. Downtown La Grange is filled with restaurants, bars and they have a $5 movie theater. During the spring, summer and fall months all the restaurants and shops leave water bowls for the dogs as their owners are strolling down the streets. They are very pet friendly and every year on the first weekend of June they have the annual La Grange Pet Parade which attracts thousands of people and pets.
