La Grande Reviews
La Grande is a great place for those who love small town comfort! It is surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery that provides great outdoor adventure opportunity. Downtown sports a collection of quaint Georgia style shops and the folks are generally friendly. However, most people go out of town for retail shopping as there's not much aside from Walmart. But overall, La Grande is a nice place if you're looking for a quiet place to retire or to pick up farming!
I absolutely love La Grande Oregon. We are a small community of family farms and ranches. It's small enough that you feel safe, but yet big enough that you don't feel like you are going to blow away in the dust for miles upon miles before you hit civilization! You can look around and find good in the world! It's a great community to raise your kids. Everybody knows everybody and are willing to help each other out. We have lots of local farms that have amazing products and produce. Overall its an amazing little town with a lot of soul and heart. I absolutely love my sweet little town that I get to call home!
I have lived in La Grande since I was 4. There is no greater sense of community than living here. Everyone is friendly and willing to lend a hand to those in need. The valley and surrounding mountains are gorgeous. We enjoy spending our summers camping, hiking, mushroom picking, and fishing. A change I would love to see is more places for children and teenagers to hang out. We are in the process of building a bowling alley, and have a skate park, but other than that there is not a lot for kids to do that does not involve money or transportation.
